The World Trail Majors Series will be held for the first time in 2024. The prize money for the top finishers in the overall division has finally been announced.

Total prize money: 47,000 euros
The World Trail Majors aims to attract many outstanding elite runners. Therefore, in addition to the generous prize money, we will offer various other rewards, such as free entry and travel subsidies, to reward the efforts of the elite runners. First of all, we will offer a total of 47,000 euros in prize money alone.
The prize money for the top male and female overall rankings will be distributed as follows:
1st place: 12,000 euros
2st place: 6,000 euros
3st place: 3,000 euros
4st place: 1,500 euros
5st place: 1,000 euros

The prize money will be the same for both men and women, and will be distributed to the top athletes at the end of the RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town, the final race of the inaugural season, to be held in South Africa in November 2024.
In terms of prize money, the top finishers are determined based on the two races in which each runner achieves their best results. Even if a runner participates in more than two races, the top finishers will only be determined by their best two results. In addition, all runners who complete at least one race will be included in the World Trail Majors overall ranking and will be eligible to win prize money. The prize money awarded to the final overall finishers in the World Trail Majors series is separate and independent from the prize money won by the top finishers in each race. In other words, the top finishers will receive the overall prize money in addition to the prize money won in each race.

About World Trail Majors
The World Trail Majors is a non-profit organization made up of nine independent trail running races. The organization aims to promote the sport of trail running respectfully, embracing diversity and sustainability while preserving the original spirit of trail running. The nine races participating in the World Trail Majors are: Anta Hong Kong 100 Ultramarathon, Black Canyon Ultra, The North Face TransGran Canaria, Mount Fuji 100, Madeira Island Ultra Trail, Swiss Canyon Trail, South Downs Way, Quebec Mega Trail, and RMB Ultra Trail Cape Town. The series' inaugural year will begin in 2024.
