The Mt. Fuji 100, an international trail running event held on the trails at the foot of Mt. Fuji, saw the start of the KAI 70k at midnight on Friday, April 26th, following the FUJI 100mi which took place late the previous night. The KAI 70k is a 69.4km course with an accumulated elevation gain of 3,493mD+, which is the latter half of the FUJI 100mi course, and starts at Fuji Hokuroku Park/Fuji no Meisui Stadium (Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture). Along with the 166.6km FUJI 100mi, it is an international race in the middle distance category.

The total number of participants was 1021, including 257 women and 764 men, and athletes from 34 countries and regions around the world participated.

The first finishers are expected to arrive at the finish gate inside Fuji Meisui Stadium around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th.
