basic rule
- The basic conditions for participating in this tournament are to understand and assume responsibility for the following items.
- All athletes participating in this tournament will be responsible for their actions in accordance with the laws and regulations of Japan and local governments, as well as general social justice, even during the competition.
- Mt.FUJI100 is a race that involves running through nature, including mountainous areas, for more than a day and night. The organizers will make preparations to minimize risks that the athletes cannot predict or control, but it is the athletes' responsibility to avoid dangers during the race and ensure their own safety. Therefore, athletes are expected to have the skills, knowledge, equipment, physical strength, and self-management skills to deal with predicted troubles and worsening weather (low temperatures, strong winds, rain, snow, etc.). The athletes themselves are responsible for the results of their responses. In addition, in the outdoors, the athletes are the closest to athletes who encounter accidents. All athletes are expected to contribute to protecting the safety of other athletes.

Competition rules
1. Conditions of Participation and Player Responsibilities
This section describes the competition environment provided by the organizers and the rules that participants must follow. If you do not follow the competition rules or neglect to observe these precautions, you may be disqualified on the spot, or a penalty of 1, 3, or 6 hours may be added to your race time. You may also be denied participation in the following year.
2. Nature Conservation Rules and the ITRA Green Charter
The course for this race is held in a precious natural environment that includes areas designated as part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and areas that are home to rare plants and animals.
As well as enjoying trail running, we have a responsibility to protect the irreplaceable environment and landscapes together with all those involved.
We agree with the principles of the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) Green Charter* and have established the following nature conservation rules.
- The use of walking sticks is prohibited on all courses. The use of tree branches or other objects in place of walking sticks is also prohibited.
- Sleeping on the course is prohibited. This is because it has a significant impact on the natural environment and may be mistaken for someone needing emergency assistance.
- It is prohibited to deviate from the trail, such as by taking shortcuts around corners of the course. In areas where it is necessary to protect the natural environment, there will be restrictions such as no overtaking.
- Collecting or damaging any plants, animals, fungi, rocks, etc. is prohibited on the course or in any other area.
- Please do not litter.
- In order to reduce waste and carbon emissions, the race will not use printed or disposable materials wherever possible.
- Please use the toilets at each aid station. If it is unavoidable, please use a portable toilet. If you use toilet paper, please be sure to take it home with you.
- To prevent the introduction of invasive species and to avoid bringing urban vegetation into the alpine zone, please bring shoes with clean soles and start the climb in those shoes.
- Even if there are no safety issues regarding the event on the day, if it is determined that the trail conditions are not capable of supporting a large number of participants, we may decide to set up walking sections, change the course, or cancel the event.
- We will establish a "Code of Conduct and Points of Consideration" to ensure that the event is run in a sustainable manner that takes the natural environment into consideration, and will conduct environmental monitoring surveys on the course before and after the race to evaluate the impact on the trail.

3. Pregnancy Postponement Policy
In order to support female athletes, if pregnancy is confirmed between the time of entry and the race, the entry fee will be fully refunded and the runner's eligibility will be maintained for two years. Female athletes who wish to participate in this event after returning to competition after childbirth or childcare will be recognized as eligible to participate based on their performance before pregnancy (within three years of returning).
We will consider how we can support athletes who are breastfeeding before, during and after the race. (Contact:info@mt.fuji100.com)
4. Consideration for others and the community
- If you come across an athlete or event official who is unable to move due to injury or illness, give priority to rescuing them and contact the medical headquarters as soon as possible. The medical headquarters' phone number is written on the race number card. When contacting the headquarters, please also check the athlete's race number as much as possible and provide that information. If you do not know the race number, please check the gender, color of the race clothing, etc. This is to ensure that the headquarters can respond more smoothly.
- If you see a runner lying down or crouching on the course, be sure to speak to them and check their condition and symptoms. If first aid is required, give first aid first and contact the medical headquarters.
- The course is not exclusively for the event. Please be considerate of general users (mountaineers, hikers, etc.) and do not obstruct their passage. In no-passing sections, overtaking not only runners but also general users is prohibited. Even outside of no-passing sections, if you are overtaking a general user, please slow down and walk in a safe place with a wide road. Don't forget to greet when overtaking or passing someone. The same rules apply in urban areas. On roads with sidewalks, always use the sidewalk.
- Please be careful not to damage any structures or other objects on the course.
- There are special areas on the course that are normally off-limits, such as private property and commercial facilities. Please do not enter any areas other than those designated for the course.
- There are residential areas around the course. Please refrain from making loud noises or making noise. Please refrain from ringing bear bells in sections where bear bells are prohibited.
5. Authority to cancel a competition
- Doctors and rescuers have the authority to make runners who are unable to continue the race stop (withdraw or disqualify them). When a doctor or rescuer tells you to stop the race, please return your IC chip to the staff. At that time, they may mark your number card to indicate that you have retired.
- If a runner is still near a checkpoint after the checkpoint time (including the finish time), the organizers may stop the race and ask them to return to their vehicles. All runners must follow the organizers' instructions.
6. IC Chips
Using IC chips and measurement mats laid on the ground, runners' records will be recorded, the number of people who started and finished the race will be counted, and the passage of each aid station and checkpoint will be confirmed.
*As a general rule, participants are not allowed to retire at the F7/K3 Nijumagari Pass.
- An IC chip must be attached to each shoe.
- Once a race is complete, participants must submit their IC chip to a member of staff.
- Runners who withdraw or are disqualified must return their IC chips to the Retirement Desk at each aid station.
7. Gates and Measurements
- In order to ensure the safety of runners who arrive right at the checkpoints, two checkpoint times will be set, one at the entrance and one at the exit of the aid station. runners who do not pass through (enter/exit the checkpoint) by either designated time will be disqualified.
- Even if you leave the aid station exit, you can return to that aid station as long as it is before the entrance checkpoint time. When returning to the aid station and leaving it again, please be sure to use the designated passage and inform staff. In this case, if you do not leave the aid station before the exit checkpoint time, you will be disqualified.
- The cut-off times may change depending on the weather, course conditions, and race progress. In such cases, we will notify you on the official bulletin board at the aid station and by email to your registered mobile phone.
8. Guidance and directions on the course
- With the permission of the landowner and manager, the organizers will set up the minimum amount of marking tape and signs required. Marking tape will be set up approximately every 100m, except in areas where it is particularly easy to get lost. If you cannot find any marking tape after going more than 1m, you have taken the wrong course. Please retrace your steps to get back on the course.
- The organizers will prepare the course to minimize risks that the runners cannot predict or control. Dangerous areas will be marked and roped off to reduce risk. Runners must follow these instructions. Staff and guards may be stationed in places the organizers deem necessary to direct traffic to ensure the safety of the runners. Please follow their instructions.
- Even in areas where staff and guards are present to guide runners for safety, it is the runner's responsibility to check the marking tape and signs and follow the correct course.
- Please follow the directions in areas where overtaking is prohibited or other restrictions are posted.
- Any information that must be communicated to runners after the start of the race will be posted on the official bulletin boards at the aid stations.
