Volunteer Q&A

Are there any volunteer requirements?

Cooperation, adaptability, imagination, and the desire to enjoy activities with friends are all important. However, the FUJI100mi has a time limit of 44 hours and 30 minutes, which means volunteer work will take a long time. Depending on the progress of the race and the weather, you may not be able to take a sufficient break or nap. This is not recommended for those who are worried about their physical strength.

What should I eat?

The event organizers will not provide meals for volunteers. Please bring your own food and consume it during breaks. (Hot water will be available in each area. Locations where burners can be used will be announced at a later date.) Please bring along some handy snacks to replenish your supplies while you are working. Tap water at the foot of Mt. Fuji is drinkable, but there are areas where there is no running water, so please be sure to bring your own water. (There are also areas where there are no convenience stores or vending machines near the activity site.) There is a food booth at the finish area, but be sure to check the opening hours, etc.

Are there any other important items you need to bring besides food?

The weather in the mountains is changeable, so be sure to bring rain gear. It also gets quite cold in the mornings and evenings. There are large temperature differences, so be sure to wear clothes that will help you regulate your body temperature. In addition, if you are doing long-term activities and plan to take naps or long breaks, you will need a sleeping bag and down clothing, and if you are doing activities at night, you will need a headlamp, etc. (What you need to bring will vary depending on the location and time of day of the activity.)
An activity manual will be prepared in advance. Please also refer to the "Tournament Rules and Notes" for athletes on the official website.

How can I receive emergency contact during the tournament?

The email will be sent to all registered email addresses. The same information will also be posted on the general bulletin board. (The URL will be sent directly to those who will be volunteering.)
Please be prepared to receive information from either source during the activity period.

What should I pay special attention to as a volunteer?

Please be sure to arrive on time. If the roll call and explanation of your duties are not completed in one go, it may develop into a problem with the race management.
And we want you to complete your activities safely and return home safely.

If you have any questions or concerns about the site, please feel free to speak to the site manager or volunteer leader.
