To those considering volunteering for the 2026 Games

FUJI100mi, KAI70k, ASUMI40k, SAKUYA, Mt. FUJI100MINI
Athletes taking on various challenges in each category
The presence of volunteers who support and support them from close by is a great source of strength.
They support Mt.FUJI100.
Thank you so much for everything.
There are times when we work against our body clock.
Just a little more "physical strength and energy"
And please prepare a lot of "power to enjoy"
Not only acquaintances, but people who can give generous support to all the athletes.
We are looking forward to your application!

Important matters
  • Starting with the 2026 tournament, LINE groups will be used for regular and emergency communication just before and during the tournament, according to activity category. Unfortunately, those who do not have their own LINE account cannot apply.
  • If you plan to travel to Fuji Hokuroku Park by public transportation, you can use the 2026 Games Circular Bus.
The route is "Fuji Hokuroku Park No. 2 Parking Lot → Mt. Fuji Station → In front of Fujisan Resort Hotel → Fuji-Q Highland Expressway Bus Station → Fuji Hokuroku Park No. 2 Parking Lot." It does not pass through Kawaguchiko Station during public transportation hours. Please use the tournament circular bus from Mt. Fuji Station or Fuji-Q Highland Expressway Bus Station.
  • Shifts of 8 to 10 hours are scheduled depending on the area and activity.
  • The activity time may change depending on the weather on the day, in which case we may ask those who are able to accommodate to extend the time.
  • In addition to the activities for each category, miscellaneous tasks may arise depending on the situation at your assigned location.

Recruiting first aid staff

Baggage and drop bag storage, sorting and return

Competitors of the FUJI100mi, KAI70k, ASUMI40k, SAKUYA, and Mt.FUJI100MINI races come to the Fuji Hokuroku Park Gymnasium to leave their baggage and drop bags. They are then collected and sorted by category and number.
Starting at midnight, the return of drop bags to those who dropped out will begin, followed by the return of drop bags to those who completed the race. Drop bags from runners who passed through will be returned from the Oshino Aid Station, so rearrangement will occur.
In addition to returning baggage, there are also miscellaneous tasks around the gym, such as managing trash. Since the activity is indoors, there is no need to worry about rain, but the gym is large, so it is necessary to prepare warm clothes.

Aid Station

At each aid station, they will answer questions from overseas participants (such as the layout of the aid station, checkpoint times, distance to the next aid station, how to retire, what food is served at the aid station, etc.). For questions about race rules or other difficult topics, they will either connect the person in charge on site or encourage the athlete to call the hotline to headquarters themselves. Since this work will be carried out while the race is in progress, they will work in cooperation with the volunteer teams at the aid stations and will actively participate in activities other than interpretation.
Dependable volunteer leaders are on hand at each aid station.

Activity locations and transportation methods will vary for each aid station.

*Maps of each activity location will be announced soon

Fuji-Q Highland Conifer Forest Area and Fuji Hokuroku Park Area Guidance

Aid Station F4: You will guide runners at important points in the area that runners must pass through as they head to Fuji-Q Highland (Conifer Forest) or the finish gate at Fuji Hokuroku Park. Depending on the time of day, the scenery will be completely different, with runners prioritizing speed, runners taking it easy at their own pace, and runners rushing at the last minute to reach the checkpoint, but for all runners, the encouragement from the guidance volunteers will be a great way to recharge their energy. At least two people will be stationed at each guidance point, so applications can be made in pairs.
The activity is outdoors. It is not a trail, but it is on a course. Bring a folding chair or other equipment to protect yourself from the cold and conserve your energy while enjoying the activity.

  • During breaks, you can warm up indoors. Generally, breaks are taken in shifts of 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Accessible by public transport depending on activity times.
  • At least one guide stick (commonly known as a carrot) will be distributed at each guidance point.
  • The shift in charge of the top runners' passing time will gather with about three hours' leeway to allow for the possibility of detours being required due to weather conditions on the day. Depending on instructions from the volunteer leader on site, waiting indoors may be extended.

LINE groups will be created for each activity to share information and make emergency contact. You cannot apply to be a volunteer unless you have your own LINE account. (It seems that email messages are often not received immediately prior to and during the Games, and information has not been distributed properly. Also, using a Facebook group in conjunction with the LINE account takes twice as long to distribute information. By limiting information sharing to LINE, which has a high account ownership rate, we aim to ensure that all participants can share information quickly.) We appreciate your understanding.
Minors can also apply if their companion has an account.

    [Promises within the LINE group]
Do not spread information related to Games volunteer activities without permission.

Please check your spam filter settings on your computer or cell phone to ensure that you can receive emails from volunteer@mtfuji100.com.
  • Once the volunteer activities have been confirmed, information will be shared in LINE groups for each activity, starting from late March 2026.

Whether or not compensation is sufficient depends on the individual. If you need it, please take out your own insurance.

Volunteer Q&A

Are there any volunteer requirements?

The requirements are cooperation, adaptability, imagination, and the desire to enjoy activities with friends. However, the FUJI 100mi has a time limit of over 44 hours. This means that volunteer work will also take a long time. Depending on the progress of the race and the weather, you may not be able to take sufficient breaks or naps. This event is not recommended for those with concerns about their physical strength.

What should I eat?

The event organizers will not provide meals for volunteers. Please bring your own food and consume it during breaks. (Hot water will be available in each area. Locations where burners and other appliances can be used will be announced at a later date.) Please bring along snacks that can be replenished while you are working, as they are convenient. Tap water at the foot of Mt. Fuji is drinkable, but there are areas where there is no running water, so please be sure to bring your own fluids. (There are also areas where there are no convenience stores or vending machines near the activity locations.) There is a food booth at the finish area, but please be sure to check the opening hours, etc.

Are there any other important items to bring besides food and drink?

The weather in the mountains is changeable, so be sure to bring rain gear (top and bottoms). It also gets quite cold in the mornings and evenings. The temperature difference is drastic, so make sure to wear clothes that can help regulate your body temperature. Additionally, if you are doing long-term activities and plan to take naps or long breaks, you will need a sleeping bag and down jacket, and if you are doing activities at night, you will need a headlamp. (What you need to bring will vary depending on the location and time of day.)
An activity manual will be prepared in advance.Tournament rules and precautions" is also useful. Please refer to it.

How can I receive emergency contact during the tournament?

For the 2026 Games, information will be sent to the LINE group for each activity. (From the 2026 Games, those who do not have their own LINE account will not be able to apply to volunteer.)

What should I pay special attention to as a volunteer?

Please be sure to arrive on time. If the roll call and explanation of your duties are not completed in one go, it may develop into a problem with the race management.
And we want you to complete your activities safely and return home safely.
Also, if you are leaving your post during an activity, please be sure to inform the leader or sub-leader. The number of participants is allocated so that participants can concentrate on the race. Please refrain from leaving your post for personal reasons as much as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about the site, please feel free to speak to the site manager or volunteer leader.

If you have any questions before the tournament, please contact us by email at the address below. (We will respond to inquiries in order, but if it takes more than a week for us to respond, we would appreciate it if you could resend your email. We appreciate your understanding.)
